Starting SoonComic Book Club w/ Mr. BarshHeritage Elem Empower HourComic Book Club will feature lessons on comic book history (focusing primarily on Marvel and DC) along with comic creation itself. The room will be split in half - artists and writers. I will be the project manager and editor. We will brainstorm, outline, draft, edit, and print one short comic that the class works together to come up with. I have a vast amount of experience publishing in the Dungeons & Dragons industry as a small business owner and freelancer, so this is something I can handle putting together for real. Upper El students will work as captains and do much of the heavy lifting on the narrative and drawing side whereas the younger Lower El students will work in support of them assisting with color and/or further brainstorming and reading/editing ideas.Winter/Spring 2026 -

Starting SoonDungeons & Dragons Club w/ Mr. BarshHeritage Elem Empower HourThe hit show Stranger Things has really sparked some interest in the game Dungeons & Dragons over the years! This club will teach the students the basics of the game and allow them, no matter the age, to experience the greatest fantasy tabletop game of all time. Younger students will play board games like Fantasy Forest or Candyland to be introduced to the concept of adventure, and older students will jump right into the action of playing in small groups. However, I will also have a "class-wide" game where the older students pair up with the younger ones so everyone has a chance to actually play and learn Dungeons & Dragons hands on. JK - 1st might have a harder time grasping the game as a whole; however, that is where the class-wide game comes in!Winter/Spring 2026 -
