Come experience our annual Candy Cane Hunt! Kids will get to search an indoor course for candy canes and receive some take home holiday craft projects! Hot chocolate will also be served to help warm up the festivities! We will offer "Hunt" times throughoutthe 2 hour period and we will lump similar ages/sizes together for the "hunt". So just come when you can and we'll make sure your kids get to hunt while you are at the event. If you are interested, we will be offering a separate, but simultaneous event that you are welcome to register for as well. We will be hosting a Holiday Cookie Decorating event that day too! This event is geared towards children 9 years and younger. Older children are allowed to register/attend, but please note that the crafts and activities are geared towards younger children. When you arrive please check-in inside the school entrance and then the event leaders will announce "hunt" times throughout the event. Self Directed Areas (open 5-7 p.m.) for each paying participant: Visit with Santa, holiday craft pick up area, hot chocolate, face painting, indoor snowball fight and more. Parents don't forget to bring your camera!!! Additionally, if you are interested in helping out a family who, otherwise, couldn't afford this event, you may select a variety of scholarship donations below. Heritage PTO will be operating a concession stand offering pizza, snacks and drinks so you can have dinner with us too.

Join us for a magical night of dancing, crafts, the famous balloon drop and so much more! This is a community wide event open to all families. The crafts/snacks/activities are geared for kids ages 12 and younger, but older children are welcome as long as understand the focus age of this event. [Register your CHILD for the dance, it is not necessary to register the accompanying adult, which may be ANY adult] Register by February 20 so we can plan for the event. **Registration closes on Feb 20 at 8 p.m. After that, if you would like to attend you will need to show up at the dance by 5:30 p.m. to register on-site. Late registration fee will be an additional $10. Registration format- fees won't be collected until Dec 1, 2024. Couple registration for 1 child and 1 adult (please register your child for this course) Family of 3 (any combination of adults and children in the same family that equals 3); Family of 4 (any combination of adults and children in the same family that equals 4); Family of 5+ (any combination of adults and children in the same family that equals 5 or more up to a max of 8) Format: 4:30-5:30 p.m.: We welcome families with children 4 years and younger to attend during this time. You are welcome to stay, but this will allow time to do the crafts with kids of the same age/size and the dance music will be Disney and preschool music. 5:30-7:30 p.m.: We welcome families with children 5 -12 years old (older children are welcome, but the activities and music will be geared towards this age group. We offer fun, safe and affordable gymnastics for those looking to compete or learn a cartwheel. Staff consists of coaches with backgrounds in education, cheer, dance and gymnastics. Girls and boys are welcome in our toddler/preschool and school age programs. Toddler-Preschool Gymnastics- For boys and girls ages 18 months-4 years old. Students will get their first experience with the wonderful sport of gymnastics. Balance, strength, coordination, flexibility and confidence are just a few of the concepts we will work on. We will use all pieces of gymnastics equipment as well as fun preschool equipment. Parents may accompany child in the class. School Age / Recreational Gymnastics- For boys and girls ages 5-14 years old. Gymnasts will be instructed on all pieces of equipment. Strength, balance, flexibility, body awareness and confidence are all concepts we will work on. Beginning- Stretching, body positions, forward and backward rolls, handstand, cartwheel, bridge and skills on equipment will be worked on. If you can't do a cartwheel yet, this is the class for you. Intermediate- We will work on the skills listed for the Beginning class and start working on back walkovers as well as more difficult skills on equipment. Advanced- Gymnasts should be able to do a back walkover on the floor and working back handspring. This is our most advanced class before our competitive team.

Hoopstars (Ages 4-6) As a "Start Smart" Program is Fun, skill-oriented games and drills guide your youngsters through the basics of shooting, passing and dribbling. In addition, we'll cover rules, positions, offense and defense. Kids progress at their own pace and will scrimmage during class time. Bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes (no black soles). Bring a junior size basketball (optional). Hoopstars (Ages 7-10) Jump into the fast-paced game of basketball. Using progressive drills and games, players will learn dribbling, passing, positions, shooting techniques, offenses and defenses. Players will scrimmage during class time. Emphasis is on effort and teamwork. Wear gym shoes (no black soles) and bring a water bottle. Bring an intermediate size basketball (optional). Offered in partnership with Leisure Unlimited LLC, Coach Dave East.

As a "Start Smart" program kids learn the beginning fundamentals including trapping, dribbling, kicking, passing, throw-ins, shooting, player positions, rules and strategy. As "Start Smart" program .......Try this sampler class. Kids will learn the basics in a variety of sports such as soccer, football, volleyball, tee-ball, basketball, hockey and more. Our emphasis is on participation, effort and teamwork for a positive learning experience. Wear gym shoes (no black soles) and bring a water bottle. Offered in partnership with Leisure Unlimited LLC, Coach Dave East

A parent and child program for all ages! Price includes all family members in same household (please register just 1 family member). Set in a fun, non-competitive and informative atmosphere, this program allows parents to learn alongside their children. Physical techniques will be instructed along with drills and exercises, to help you have a positive experience with your self defense education. Sanchin-Ryu will teach you how to use your whole body, rather than just certain muscle groups, so size and stature are not an issue. Uniforms are available, but not required.

This program combines two crucial courses into one, Sanchin-Ryu Karate & Self-Defense and Project: Secure Child (child safety). Students will be trained with proven, age-appropriate techniques that are necessary for kids to protect themselves from attackers. This program is set in a fun yet structured, environment which will give your child a positive outlook on learning a martial art. Participants will achieve great self confidence and leadership through the physical techniques, mental strategies, drills and exercises they are lead through. Uniforms are available, but not required.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Celebrate Halloween a little early with Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education. Not only will kids get the experience of trick or treating, but they will also get to see the area's biggest trucks. Possible trucks will include a dump truck, fire engine, bulldozer, and much more! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Event will proceed rain or shine! We have two time slots where we won't have horns/sirens going, in case you have a child that is scared or startled with the loud noises. You will register by your arrival time. You are welcome to stay longer than your 30 minute time slot, but we will be wrapping up by 7:15/7:30 p.m. so please plan accordingly. This event will be held at Milford HS in the parking lot near the football stadium. Also, all activities will be outside and we are JUST offering trick or treating with the trucks and will have a special holiday treat for all of our paid participants. Children ages 2 - 13 = $5/child. The $5 fee covers the cost of the candy for all of our trucks and the treat for all of our participants. Older kids are welcome and kids in the Special Ed program are always welcome. Just contact us directly to register anyone over 13 years old. Children ages 0-23 months = Free, but they will not receive candy/donut/craft, but they are welcome to enjoy the trucks.
