    Learn football skills and techniques, improve your understanding of the game of flag football. Flag Football is just another wonderful entry point for girls into the great game of football and it's one of the newly added sports for the 2028 Olympics in LA! Practices and games will be on Sunday afternoons.
  • Future Stars Basketball Developmental League (Gr K-2 Coed)

    Designed especially for young players, this league is a fun introduction to the game of basketball! The first half of each session is dedicated to drills and fun skill-building games, helping players learn fundamentals like dribbling, passing, and shooting. The second half is game time, where kids get to put their skills into action in real 4v4 or 5v5 games. . Lead coaches will guide the program, and parent volunteers are encouraged to help during drills and games. Space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot!
  • Future Stars Basketball League (Boys/Girls) 3rd-5th Grade: Spring Session

    Spring Season! Future Stars is an in-house league that provides the opportunity for students to learn and play basketball in a recreational setting. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and FUN! This instructional program utilizes volunteers for coaching (this volunteer will likely be a parent). We will limit each division to just 4 teams or 40 kids for this mini-session. ~Practices scheduled to start the week of April 6. Each team will be assigned 1 practice for 60-90 minute increments at various HVS schools ~Games will be played on Saturdays starting April 11 and we'll be done before Memorial Day.   • Future Stars Outdoor Basketball Program (K-2) &(Gr 3-5)

    Ball Handling • Dribbling • Shooting • Defense Introduce your young athlete to the game of basketball in a fun, positive, and structured environment. This 1-hour session will be split between skill development and live scrimmage play, giving players the chance to learn and apply their skills. Athletes will work on ball control, dribbling, shooting form, and defensive movement through engaging drills and games that build coordination, confidence, and game awareness. The session will conclude with a scrimmage to reinforce skills and encourage teamwork. • 3rd–5th grade players may have the opportunity to play outside, weather permitting. • K–2nd grade players will remain in the gym, as outdoor hoops are too tall. Please bring: a basketball, water bottle, and athletic clothing.
  • HV United Basketball League (Boys) - Spring Middle/High School

    Spring Season! HV United Basketball League is an in-house league that provides the opportunity for students to learn and play basketball in a recreational setting. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and FUN! This recreational program utilizes volunteers for coaching (this volunteer will likely be a parent). ~Practices scheduled to start the week of April 6. Each team will be assigned 1 M-F for 60-90 minute increments at various HVS schools ~Games will be played on Saturdays starting April 11 and we will be done by Memorial Day. HV Rec and Ed will now provide 2 paid scorekeepers per game so parents no longer have to help at the score table. Register 2 or more children for the Basketball league and receive a $5 discount for each additional child. Discounts applied at checkout. Parents/guardians who volunteer to coach will receive a discount on their child's registration fees. This will be refunded back AFTER we confirm who the coaches will be for the season.   • HV United Track and Field Club

    Join the HV United Track and Field Club this spring! We will introduce your young runner to the sport of track and field. We will teach them proper running form/technique and they will have the opportunity to practice their skills at our 2 practices a week. The events that will be trained for are: 60 meter sprintLong jump400m or 800m run400m relay Track Meet - May 11 at Milford HS Track! We will have a K-2 Division and a Gr 3-5 Division (if more are needed, we will create more) Practices - Sundays @ Milford HS and Thursdays at Spring Mills Elementary. Every participant will receive a dri-fit uniform shirt, a certificate of completion and other goodies along the way. **Registration fees will be collected on 3/1/26.
  • Outdoor Rec Volleyball League (Grades 3-12)

    Outdoor Grass Volleyball League - Our in-house program for new/returning players will help players of all skill levels learn/improve their volleyball skills in practice and use them in friendly competition. Teams formed according to registration received. Each team will have 1 practice during the week and matches will be held on Wednesday nights. This program is co-ed. The season will run July 8 - August 12. Registration Fees will be $140, but will not be charged until July 1, 2026. You will receive a reminder 5 days prior to your credit card being charged. Please complete the entire registration process, including payment information, to complete the registration. You will receive an email confirmation once the registration is complete. Attention Parents: Volunteer coaches are an essential part of our program. If you can help, please call, 248.676.8452. Without your help, there would be no league!   • Summer Basketball Training

    "The off season is one of the most important times for basketball development. Without the pressure of games, players can slow down and focus on building strong fundamentals that lead to long term success. This summer drop-in session is designed for individual skill development, giving athletes the chance to push themselves to the next level. Players will work on ball handling, shooting, passing, footwork, and overall confidence through quality repetitions and focused instruction. Each athlete will be challenged to improve at their own pace. The goal is simple: help players grow individually, stay active this summer, and return to team play more confident and prepared."

    T-Ball League (Ages 4-6)

    HV Rec and Ed has partnered with Huron Valley Youth Baseball/Softball League (HVYBSL) to bring a newly formatted t-ball league to our community! This program will meet weekly on Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at Duck Lake Pines Ball Fields (#1 and #4) HVYBSL will provide lead coaches/managers for each field and they will lead the skills sessions for the first 30 minutes on each day, followed by game play for the last 30 minutes. We will still need volunteer coaches to help execute the drills and to help keep the teams organized during game-play. Team pictures will be TBD prior to game time. Space will be limited so register early! We are limiting this program to the first 40 players (4 teams of 10). Registration fee will be charged on 2/1/26.
  • United Soccer League - Co-Ed

    Learn the fundamentals of soccer as well as the importance of teamwork through Youth Soccer. Everyone plays and everyone is part of the team. Kids develop important soccer skills, including passing, dribbling, shooting and working as a team in a fun and supportive environment. Not only will children have an opportunity to advance skills, but they'll also build social skills, gain confidence and develop leadership skills. Dedicated volunteer coaches are trained to set expectations and help kids find their strengths and improve. This is a co-ed league. Ages 4-5: Practice 25 minutes and Play 30 minutes on Tuesday evenings. Game times will be 6 or 7 p.m. Ages 6-8/8-11/11-14: Practices will be anywhere from 30-45 minutes long followed by games on Tuesday nights. Game times will be 6 p.m. or later. Age 6-8 will play on a 30x20 field (smaller field and smaller goals) and will play 4v4 with 6 on a team. LOTS of play time and LOTS of touches which is ideal! Additionally, our 8-11 and 11-14 division will play on a smaller field and smaller goals and will play 7v7. Again LOTS Of play time and LOTS Of touches! Coaches Meeting @ TBDVolunteer Coaches will receive a 25% discount on team fees (applied AFTER registration) Team fees will include uniform top and practice equipment. Other needed equipment will need to be provided by the families (soccer socks and shin guards). Team fees will be charged on 7/1/26. Registration closes on 6/30/26!

Divisions: Middle School Division -new format, still a rec league. Coaches Meeting @ TBD Volunteer Coaches will receive a 25% discount on team fees (applied AFTER registration) Team Pictures will be on TBD (rain or shine) @ the YMCA/Oak Valley before/after your game that day.   • Volleyball Skills Clinics: Small Group Training (2-3 players)

    Looking for opportunities for your volleyball players to work on their skills this fall? We are now offering small group training sessions to train with a variety of club and school coaches. By offering these sessions in smaller groups, this allows us to work on individual and combination skills. These lessons are for players grades 3-9. Please register 1 child and then you will list the other 1 or 2 players joining them for the lesson. The person registering will pay and then the others can pay you directly. Once you register, we will put you in contact with a coach to schedule a date/time for your lesson.
  • Volleyball Travel League (Boys and Girls)

    Travel League: This is an instructional, learning league. This is a travel league; games will be played within Huron Valley, Brighton, Hartland, and Howell. Practices: Begin week of April 6 at various HVS schools. Matches will be played on Friday nights at 6, 7 or 8 p.m. Season will run April - May. Matches will begin on April 10 and end May 15. Attention Parents: Volunteer coaches are an essential part of our program. If you can help, please indicate this during registration. Without your help, there would be no league! Additionally, we are now offering a discount for our coaches kids registration fees. The discount will be applied AFTER. We offer families on the Free/Reduced Lunch Program discounts.
