Little Athlete's Lab (ages 3.5-5)
Are you looking for a place where your child can learn some of the key gross motor skills required to play organized sports? Have you noticed your child may be uncoordinated, clumsy, lose their balance easily, and/or have a hard time keeping up with other kids their age? This program is set up to prepare children ages 3.5-5 years for the world of organized sports without the threat of competition or the fear of injury. This class is perfect for them!
Parents work together with their children in a supportive environment to learn all of the basic skills...throwing, catching, kicking, batting, running, jumping, etc. Held twice a week for 2 weeks, and each session, the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents will be given a packet with skills and drills they can work on at home with the kids. At home is where the real improvement will be made!
Next Level Athlete's Lab (Ages 6-9)
Whether your child is continuing from the Little Athletes' Lab or joining us for the first time, this class is designed to meet them where they are and help them grow. We'll build on fundamental movement skills like balance, coordination, agility, and body control—all through fun, engaging activities.
If you've noticed your child seems uncoordinated, frequently loses their balance, or struggles to keep up with peers, this is the perfect class to help them gain confidence and improve their athletic abilities in a supportive environment.
The instructors who are trained professionals, will continue to work on the gross motor skills required in organized sports such as throwing, catching, kicking, batting, running, jumping, etc. Held twice a week for 2 weeks, and each session, the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents will be given a packet with skills and drills they can work on at home with the kids. At home is where the real improvement will be made!
Registration fees will be charged on 7/1 for all courses starting after 7/1.

Abby Hereau
Dr. Abigail Hereau is a doctor of physical therapy working with children in Huron Valley Schools, Early Intervention in the Holly School District, and at the outpatient clinic Ivy Rehab for Kids. She has a long history working in sports, starting in undergrad where she majored in athletic training. Abby has worked with many DI, DII, and Olympic Training athletes at Northern Michigan University during this time and played on the women's lacrosse team. She has a passion for working out and running, playing softball and running track & cross country growing up. She continues this love for running today, helping out as an assistant coach for the Holly Middle School cross country & track teams and is currently training for her second half marathon. She enjoys snowboarding and mountain biking in her free time as well, competing in Enduro Racing for biking, and is the President and co-founder for the non-profit organization "I Am An Athlete Too" which advocates for the inclusion of athletes with disabilities to compete on their middle & high school track teams. Abby believes starting with the building blocks of gross motor skills are the jumping off point for children to find success in sports, keep up with their friends on the playground, and everything in between!
