"Mini" Kaczor Clay Club: OwlsKurtz Elementary Empower HourIn this 3 week hand-building clay workshop, students will develop an understanding of clay properties, processes & vocabulary. Beginning with flat slabs, students will cut, fold and add surface detail and texture to create an owl! They will finish their bisque-fired owl using bright colors and an oil pastel resist technique. 8 -9 AM :Please drop your student off at the front car rider circle. We will gather before entering the main entrance together. I will release your child to their class line after clay club at the start of the school day. If you are running behind and the front entrance is locked, please remain with your child and we will check back frequently. 4:15-5:15 PM: I will gather students after dismissal at 4:08 in the art room. After the session is over, I will walk your child out to the front circle at 5:15 to your waiting vehicle. If you are running behind, please email if possible to let me know and I will remain with your child until you arrive. It covers the overall rules for range safety, equipment usage, and the proper form of archery. Practice is essential with the opportunity for games suggested by the instructor or anyone from the class. This would be a 4-week class with equipment and shooting range time included. Every week the archer will work on safety, techniques, and skills so they can move forward within the sport. The course will cover the 11 shooting steps in Archery. Coaching by USA Level 3 instructor will be provided (participants are allowed to use their own equipment).Summer 2025

This class enables individuals to build blocks on what was learned in the beginner class as a result individuals will experience various types of competitive archery such as Olympic FITA style targets and scoring, NFAA targets and scoring, 3D targets and scoring, and more. This would be a 6-week class with equipment and shooting range time included. Every week the archer will work on safety, techniques, and skills so they can move forward within the sport. The course will cover the 11 shooting steps in Archery with focus on use of sights and back tension to execute shots. Coaching by USA Level 3 instructor will be provided (participants are allowed to use their own equipment).Summer 2025

Athlete's LabPreschool SportsLittle Athlete's Lab (ages 3.5-5)Are you looking for a place where your child can learn some of the key gross motor skills required to play organized sports? Have you noticed your child may be uncoordinated, clumsy, lose their balance easily, and/or have a hard time keeping up with other kids their age? This program is set up to prepare children ages 3.5-5 years for the world of organized sports without the threat of competition or the fear of injury. This class is perfect for them! Parents work together with their children in a supportive environment to learn all of the basic skills...throwing, catching, kicking, batting, running, jumping, etc. Held twice a week for 2 weeks, and each session, the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents will be given a packet with skills and drills they can work on at home with the kids. At home is where the real improvement will be made! Next Level Athlete's Lab (Ages 6-9)This class will build upon the skills learned in the Little Athletes' Lab, or if your child did not take the precursor class, no worries, we'll get them up to speed in this class as well. Have you noticed your child may be uncoordinated, clumsy, lose their balance easily, and/or have a hard time keeping up with other kids their age? This class is perfect for them! The instructors who are trained professionals, will continue to work on the gross motor skills required in organized sports such as throwing, catching, kicking, batting, running, jumping, etc. Held twice a week for 2 weeks, and each session, the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement. Parents will be given a packet with skills and drills they can work on at home with the kids. At home is where the real improvement will be made! Candy Cane HuntSpecial EventsCome experience our annual Candy Cane Hunt! Kids will get to search an indoor course for candy canes and receive some take home holiday craft projects! Hot chocolate will also be served to help warm up the festivities! We will offer "Hunt" times throughout the 2 hour period and we will lump similar ages/sizes together for the "hunt". So just come when you can and we'll make sure your kids get to hunt while you are at the event. If you are interested, we will be offering a separate, but simultaneous event that you are welcome to register for as well. We will be hosting a Holiday Cookie Decorating event that day too! This event is geared towards children 9 years and younger. Older children are allowed to register/attend, but please note that the crafts and activities are geared towards younger children. When you arrive please check-in inside the school entrance and then the event leaders will announce "hunt" times throughout the event. Self Directed Areas (open 5-7:30 p.m.) for each paying participant: Visit with Santa, holiday craft pick up area, hot chocolate, face painting, indoor snowball fight and more. Parents don't forget to bring your camera!!! Additionally, if you are interested in helping out a family who, otherwise, couldn't afford this event, you may select a variety of scholarship donations below.Fall 2025

Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid and Safe Home Alone (Add On - Pet Sitter Safety too)BabysittingLearn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, dealing with difficult behaviors, basic care methods like feeding and diapering, marketing and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including the importance of not giving out personal information and what to do if somebody comes to the door. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive up to 10 minutes early. To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities.Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being ofyounger children without adult supervision. Class will end between 2 PM and 3 PM depending on when students complete the course requirements. Students need a lunch, snacks, and a fully charged cell phone (if they own one). If your student does not have a cell phone, please write down the cell phone number of the person picking them up and give it to the student. Students will message their ride at lunchtime to let their ride know what time to pick them up. Pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break.
