Meet our staff

Club Director/Girls Program Coordinator : Shannon Loso

Shannon Loso has extensive Volleyball coaching experience. For over 30 years she has coached youth programs, and competitive teams ages 12-18 in USA Volleyball (USAV) throughout the country. Shannon spent time at the Gateway Region Office in St. Louis, MO as the coach’s education coordinator, as well as handling all administrative duties including human resource development, accounting, and finance. 

Shannon has been awarded the USAV Female Coach of the Year, and the Gateway Region Meritorious Service Award. She has for several clubs in St. Louis as well as starting her own club in the HV community over the last 4 years, MOJO VBC. Shannon also spent time as a High School Volleyball coach, has organized and conducted numerous clinics and camps. She also spent many years refereeing USAV and HS Volleyball.

Shannon Loso currently serves as the Director of Recreation & Community Education for Huron Valley Schools.  

Boys Program Coordinator: Bob Parsons

Bob was a multi-sport athlete in high school and was an outside hitter on the University of Oklahoma Men’s Club Team. He has been playing recreational, intramural, and competitive indoor and sand volleyball in men and co-ed leagues for over 30 years. Bob has over 10 years’ experience coaching girls’ volleyball and softball, as well as boys' football, baseball and basketball. He is the Director of Technical Services and Business Development for an environmental construction company, has BS and MS degrees in Environmental and Civil Engineering, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in eight states. Bob and his wife Robin have five children and are active in their church, the community and HVS athletics.

Skills/Lessons: Meghan Polce

Coach Polce is currently the Varsity Coach at Lakeland HS and a  PE/Health Teacher at Lake Orion High School.  Coach Polce has several years of experience coaching HS and AAU teams.  We are excited to have Coach Polce on board to help train our coaches and players this season.

Administrative Support Staff:
Emily Luttenbacher

Emily helps with all of our administrative work such as uniforms, tournament entry, accounts receivables and accounts payable, etc.

Skills/Lessons: Sierra Breuker 

Sierra just completed her Freshman year playing left and right side hitter for Concordia University Wisconsin. Graduated with honors from high school … Two-time volleyball captain … Recorded 55 blocks and 401 attacks during her senior year … Ranked as a top-five hitter. In her spare time she also teaches piano. She is studying business at CUW.

U12s Red Co-Coach: Emily Luttenbacher

Emily has been married for 19 years to her husband, Adam, and they are raising 3 kids in the HVS district; Evan(HS), Olivia(HS) and Madelyn(MS). She is an active volunteer in the community, and especially enjoys being involved with the schools. She has coached 3 years of AAU volleyball (HV United 13 Red and MOJO 12 Navy) and has been coaching HV Rec volleyball for the past 5 years and is excited to continue her coaching career with United.  Emily played volleyball in middle school and high school, as well as a few coed intramural and sand volleyball teams at the University of Michigan. 

She is excited to grow a supportive and inclusive culture with her team, while fostering a love of the game. Emily hopes to instill confidence in her team, both on and off the court.

U12s Red Co-Coach: Michelle Wolcott

Michelle is married and has 4 children. She has played volleyball throughout high school and college as a middle hitter. She has experience coaching a variety of sports teams including soccer, basketball and volleyball. Most recently,  she coached for the MOJO volleyball club for 1 year and this will be her third year with HV United. She was also the Muir middle school 8th grade coach. Michelle is excited to embark on another season with HV United, focusing on refining specific vball skills as well as raising the level of competitive play that the team is used to. 

U12s Blue Co-Coach: Stephanie Dix

Stephanie is a well seasoned volleyball coach with years of experience spanning across MHSAA and AAU. She coached for nine seasons at SL East HS, seven years as the JV coach and 2 years as varsity. Her last season there was the first time they won the LVC division and conference tournament. Last year she was the Assistant Varsity coach at St. Catherine’s Academy, which were District Champs. For club she has participated at Legacy, SISU and Michigan Elite for age ranges of 14-15u. She also commenced volleyball programs at her children’s school. Personally, she still plays on a women’s 6’s league. Her philosophy for coaching encompasses growing the love of the game and creating a strong foundation of skill development.

U13s Red Co-Coach:  Kyle Tenhuisen

Kyle is a passionate volleyball coach and player. He has played competitive indoor and sand volleyball for the last 20 years and started coaching girls recreational and club teams for the last 4 years. He incorporates a whole-athlete approach in his coaching style. Professionally, Kyle is a Managing Director and Valuation Practice Leader at Stout. Kyle is married to his high school sweetheart, Katie, and they have four daughters. Outside of volleyball and general athletics his passions and time are centered around faith, family, and community.

U13s Blue Head Coach: Courtney Rudolph

Hi, I’m coach Courtney. This is my second season with HV United VBC and I am Lakeland High Schools freshman coach. I work in the Huron Valley School District as a para education and a mother to 3 girls who all attend school is our district. My goal every season is to encourage and help develop young athletes in a fun and positive environment. I am so excited for this season and even more excited to coach your child.

U13s Black Head Coach:  Samantha Black

My Name is Samantha Black. I'm married with two Beautiful Daughters. I fell in love with Volleyball in the 6th grade and went on to Play Varsity for LHS as a labarrel. I have an Associates Degree in Mental Health and Social Sciences from Oakland Community College. When I'm not working or on the Court, My family and I Enjoy Riding our Four wheelers, Camping and Paddle Boarding.

U14s Red Co-Coach: Kaitlyn Hawke

Coach Kait is from Highland, MI and went to Lakeland High School before leaving home to attend Point University in Georgia. At Point, she played volleyball all 4 years and got her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science. Coach Kait took on an assistant coaching role at PAC Volleyball Club out of Columbus, Georgia her last year in college; she is now in PTA School and excited to continue her coaching career! She continues to play in adult coed leagues throughout the year and is excited to grow further with the help of the coaching staff and her players this season!  

U14s Red Co-Coach:  Erin Silverman

Erin had a volleyball career for 11 years, starting from her local YMCA, moving on to club, and varsity in high school. She decided to leave her hometown in Florida to play D3 volleyball at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. At Wilkes, she was a DS and setter. Erin credits much of her success to her high school and club coaches she had early on in her career. She continues to play in coed recreational leagues during the year and is excited to help other girls find a passion in the sport like she did. 

U14s Blue Head Coach:  Melissa Dziak

Melissa Dziak is in her 3rd year as head coach for HV United VBC.  Before kids Melissa played many years of competitive volleyball and had several years of experience coaching with other clubs at the AAU level.  Her daughter goes to Walled Lake Schools and also plays travel softball so the world of travel sports is not foreign to her.  When her and her family aren't running around for sports they are enjoying time outside.  Melissa's focus is to help the girls build/fine tune fundamental skills, build new friendships, and to HAVE FUN!!

U14s Blue Asst Coach:
Adam Zell

Adam has coached for HV United VBC for 2 season. He has coached a combination of rec and travel softball and baseball for 10yrs.  His goal is to make better players both on and off the court.  Their kids have played competitive sports for the last several years and they are excited to start our third season with HV United!
