Join us for a fun evening of Floor Hockey! Different teams will be formed each week and the kids will have a great time playing a very fun game!

What is Futsal? Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that is played across the world and is officially recognized by both FIFA and UEFA. Futsal is recognized as a scaled down version of outdoor soccer played indoors. It is a 5 v 5 small-sided game played on a hard surfaced, basketball sized court with a smaller, low bounce ball. Futsal places a large emphasis on technical skill in high pressure situations which can be translated into the outdoor game. The sport is a great skill developer as it demands quick reflexes, fast thinking and pin-point passing. Why Futsal? Allows players to frequently touch the ball. Presents many opportunities to score goals and score goals often. Encourages regaining possession of the ball as a productive, fun and rewarding part of the game (defending). Maximizes active participation and minimizes inactivity and boredom. Eliminates complicated rules such as off-sides that may hinder youngsters from "playing". Divisions offered will be: Ages 4-5; Ages 6-8; and 8-11 All teams will practice for 30 minutes and then play for 30-45 minutes (depending on the age group) Games and practices will be held on Sundays at various HVS middle school gyms. Coaches Meeting @ TBD Volunteer Coaches will receive a 25% discount on team fees (applied AFTER registration) Team fees will include a uniform t-shirt. Other needed equipment will need to be provided by the families (soccer socks and shin guards). Balls/cones/pinnies/other equipment is available for teams to share on site. Free/Reduced Lunch and Multi-child discounts apply.

Designed to introduce children to the game of basketball, space is limited so sign up early! Players will have the opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals during the first half of each session followed by games (3 v 3 or 4 v 4). Lead Coaches are provided, but we welcome additional volunteer coaches to help with drills and games. Includes game jersey.

Future Stars is an in-house league that provides the opportunity for students to learn and play basketball in a recreational setting. Our program focuses on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and FUN! This instructional program utilizes volunteers for coaching (this volunteer will likely be a parent). We will limit each division to just 4 teams or 40 kids for this mini-session. ~Practices scheduled to start the week of March 31. Each team will be assigned 1 practice for 60-90 minute increments at various HVS schools ~Games will be played on Saturdays starting April 5 and we'll be done before Memorial Day (no games on April 19 due to Easter). We work hard to provide opportunities for every person in our community, but sometimes, there are families who can't afford our programming. We do provide scholarships to these families and with your help, we can provide even more of these opportunities for deserving families this coming year. Join us Tuesday, April 8 for a hopping good time at our Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt! We will have games, prizes, a craft, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself! Pre-registration required. Older kids are welcome, and that kids in the special Ed program are always welcome. Just contact us directly to register anyone over 13 years old. Children ages 0-24 months = Free, but they will not receive the candy bag or the craft but they are welcome to attend the hunt! We offer fun, safe and affordable gymnastics for those looking to compete or learn a cartwheel. Staff consists of coaches with backgrounds in education, cheer, dance and gymnastics. Girls and boys are welcome in our toddler/preschool and school age programs. Toddler-Preschool Gymnastics- For boys and girls ages 18 months-4 years old. Students will get their first experience with the wonderful sport of gymnastics. Balance, strength, coordination, flexibility and confidence are just a few of the concepts we will work on. We will use all pieces of gymnastics equipment as well as fun preschool equipment. Parents may accompany child in the class. School Age / Recreational Gymnastics- For boys and girls ages 5-14 years old. Gymnasts will be instructed on all pieces of equipment. Strength, balance, flexibility, body awareness and confidence are all concepts we will work on. Beginning- Stretching, body positions, forward and backward rolls, handstand, cartwheel, bridge and skills on equipment will be worked on. If you can't do a cartwheel yet, this is the class for you. Intermediate- We will work on the skills listed for the Beginning class and start working on back walkovers as well as more difficult skills on equipment. HV Rec and Ed will now provide 2 paid scorekeepers per game so parents no longer have to help at the scoretable. Register 2 or more children for the Basketball league and receive a $5 discount for each additional child. Discounts applied at checkout. Parents/guardians who volunteer to coach will receive a discount on their child's registration fees. This will be refunded back AFTER we confirm who the coaches will be for the season.
