Calling all 3rd-5th graders who love to sing, dance, and act! Enjoy singing together with your friends, develop your singing voice with warm-ups, have fun learning songs with 2-part harmonies, get up and move with some choreography, learn your speaking parts - all while preparing the musical: Hats! Discover that it's not the hat that makes a person special, but what's underneath! Performance on May 15th. All participants will receive a "Hats" T-shirt! HV Rec and Ed has partnered with the Cannons Baseball Organization to bring a newly formatted t-ball league to our community! This program will meet weekly on Monday evenings from 6-7 p.m. at Oak Valley Middle School: Outdoor Baseball Fields #2 and #3. The Cannons will provide lead coaches/managers for each field and they will lead the skills sessions for the first 30 minutes on each day, followed by game play for the last 30 minutes. We will still need volunteer coaches to help execute the drills and to help keep the teams organized during game-play. Team pictures will be TBD prior to game time. Space will be limited so register early! We are limiting this program to the first 40 players (4 teams of 10). Registration fee will be charged on 2/1/25.

Junior stars will continue practicing the basics of stroke production (forehands, backhands, volleys and serves) and movement using exciting games and activities in a fun atmosphere. We will be playing on a 60' court and using USTA Quick Start Balls and court for this class. Little or no experience necessary. Bring your own tennis racket

This class is offered as an introduction to the game for this age group, which will utilize age-appropriate, full-size court and ball setup to begin to develop the fundamentals of a competitive skill set. Tiny Tots will concentrate on hand-eye coordination, basic tennis movements and stroke basics. The lessons will be offered on a 36' court using red quick-start balls. Little or no experience necessary. Bring your own tennis racket

Learn the fundamentals of soccer as well as the importance of teamwork through Youth Soccer. Everyone plays and everyone is part of the team. Kids develop important soccer skills, including passing, dribbling, shooting and working as a team in a fun and supportive environment. Not only will children have an opportunity to advance skills, but they'll also build social skills, gain confidence and develop leadership skills. Dedicated volunteer coaches are trained to set expectations and help kids find their strengths and improve. This is a co-ed league. Ages 4-5: Practice 25 minutes and Play 30 minutes on Saturday mornings. Practices: Begins week of March 31 assigned 1 practice/week (coaches will select practice days, Mon-Fri starting at 6 or 6:30 p.m.) Games: Sat. April 5 - May 17 assigned 1 or 2 games/week (no games on April 19 for Easter weekend), depending on the number of teams in each division. (Location: Carls Family YMCA), game times will be between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Divisions: Ages 6-8 and 8-11; if you have younger/smaller/newer players who are 8 years old, we suggest registering for the 6-8 division; if you have more mature/developed/experienced 8 year old then we suggest the 8-11 year old division. **NEW - We are adding an 11-14 age group this fall to allow our older players a chance to keep playing recreational soccer with us! Coaches Meeting @ TBD Volunteer Coaches will receive a 25% discount on team fees (applied AFTER registration) Team Pictures will be on TBD @ the YMCA before/after your game that day. Team fees will include uniform top and practice equipment. Other needed equipment will need to be provided by the families (soccer socks and shin guards). Team fees will be charged on 2/1/25. Travel League: This is an instructional, learning league. This is a travel league; games will be played within Huron Valley, Brighton, Hartland, and Howell. Practices: Begin week of March 17 at various HVS schools. Matches will be played on Friday nights. No practices during spring break (March 24-28) Season will run April - May. Matches will begin on April 4 and end May 16 (no games on April 18 due to the holiday). Attention Parents: Volunteer coaches are an essential part of our program. Join us for this new program allowing recreational volleyball players the opportunity to keep playing over the winter! No practices, just matches/games on Friday nights at Muir MS starting at 6 p.m. We will max this out at 4 teams per division (40 kids) so register today!
