Middle School: Basketball Skills Development with Coach JillBasketball ProgramsBall Handling • Dribbling • Shooting • Defense Basketball Skills Development class is designed for young athletes to build a strong foundation in the core elements of the game: ball handling, dribbling, shooting, and defense. Whether your child is just starting or looking to improve their skills, this class offers a fun, energetic, and structured environment where they can grow on and off the court. Come to all the sessions or drop in session available! First half of the class will focus on skill development. second half will be 4v4, 5v5 Program Focus Areas: Ball Handling: Strengthen hand control and coordination using drills that teach proper technique and build confidence with both hands. Dribbling: Improve control under pressure, learn change-of-pace and direction techniques, and enhance court awareness through dynamic drills. Shooting: Master proper shooting form, balance, footwork, and follow-through. Players will work on shooting off the dribble, from the catch, and in game-like situations. Defense: Learn essential defensive techniques including stance, footwork, on-ball defense, help defense, and closeouts. Players will understand how to move their feet, stay in front of their opponent, and become effective team defenders. Who Can Join: Boys and girls 6-8 grade all skill levels welcome! What to Bring: Basketball, water bottle, athletic clothing, and a great attitude! Registration fees will be charged on 7/1 for all courses starting after 7/1.Summer 2025
