This class enables individuals to build blocks on what was learned in the beginner class as a result individuals will experience various types of competitive archery such as Olympic FITA style targets and scoring, NFAA targets and scoring, 3D targets and scoring, and more. This would be a 6-week class with equipment and shooting range time included. Every week the archer will work on safety, techniques, and skills so they can move forward within the sport. Cheerleading by Champion Force AthleticsCheerleadingWe offer a fun and exciting cheer program for beginner, intermediate and advanced level students. We focus on the fundamentals of cheer, chants, jumps, stunts, and dance routines. Each class learns at least one full routine and will showcase their skills for parents and at competitions. Classes are available for all ages and no experience is needed for recreation levels. Champion force Athletics is dedicated to empowering all kids with strength, confitdence, and self-esteem. Coach Bob Memorial Volleyball TournamentVolleyballJoin us for our 1st Annual Coach Bob Memorial Volleyball Tournament! For those who knew Coach Bob, you know he was a volleyball lover in so many ways. We are hoping to build 2 outdoor sand volleyball courts at our new home at Oak Valley Center. The money raised from this event will go towards building these courts and in the future the money will go towards our scholarship fund that helps so many of our families. July 25 we will offer youth divisions for the tournament. July 31 we will offer a high school, adult division and a family division. The family division will be a round robin format, no bracket play. But this will allow parents, kids, grandparents, etc play together to raise money in Bob's honor. We also have an option to give a direct donation without having to participate in the events. WaitlistJunior Golf AcademyGolfMystic Creek’s Junior Golf Academy, open to players ages 6 to 14, will be held Wednesday mornings. The academy, which will be divided into three age groups, will provide instruction and the basic rules, processes, routines and techniques of the game, giving young golfers the tools they need to play and enjoy the game. Each week instructors will cover different facets of the game. Participants should arrive 10 minutes prior to scheduled instruction time, and will be expected to follow guidelines for safety and be courteous of other participants. Our Junior Golf Academy will conclude with a tournament on July 23, followed by an awards luncheon. Equipment Needed for Week 1: Players will need their own bag, clubs, balls and tees. Golf shoes or tennis shoes only; no cleats, please. For the safety of all participants, golfers should not swing their club until the instructors have given approval. The Junior Golf League will play 9 holes on the final day with luncheon. LHS Boys Basketball Youth CampHS Athletic Camps/ClinicsWork with Lakeland Varsity basketball coach Ron Thompson, Staff and Players on fundamentals and scrimmages. We will have drills with varying degree of difficulty to encourage all level player to participate and scrimmage. With our philosophy of Attitude - Hard Work - Preparation, each player will be taught to play with confidence, team first, hard work and to prepare to be the best basketball player you can be. Session 1 is recommended for Incoming 4-6th graders and will focus on basic skills, footwork and positioning. Session 2 is recommended for incoming 7-8th graders and is for older players or those who have played organized basketball and are confident in their playing skills. Each participant will get the chance to learn a unique and fun pom routine. Grades 1-5 will learn a beginner routine with our JV Pommers, while grades 6-8 will learn a slightly more advanced routine with our Varsity Pommers. Additionally, they will have fun socializing and meeting new friends along with hanging out with the JV and Varsity Pom team members. Lastly, they will shine in the spotlight while performing alongside the Lakeland Pom teams for a special family and friends showcase during the last hour of our final camp day! MHS Cross Country Camp (Middle School)HS Athletic Camps/ClinicsWe believe cross country to be the greatest team sport in the world. We also believe that running is a lifelong activity that is enjoyable for all. This camp is designed to promote the fun and excitement of cross country in a positive environment. We want to teach the athletes about the sport and help them be the best runners they can be. The intensity of the camp will be appropriately adjusted to the ability of the athlete. The spirit and enthusiasm will consistent throughout the camp. This camp is designed to parallel the philosophy of our Championship High School program but on an appropriate training level for younger athletes. There is no requirement for pre-camp training, but an active athlete will likely be better prepared. On Thursday an inter-camp meet on the Milford High School Campus.
