Adult Pickleball - PickleballPickleballAdult Pickleball - Beginner Pickleball Lessons (age 15 +) This 3 week series of lessons will cover how to play pickleball. Learn the rules, how to serve/return, keeping score, dink/drop shots, drive/attack shots, hitting zones, punch volleys, and court coverage. Please dress in comfortable/athletic clothing and appropriate footwear for the lesson. Please bring your own paddle.Adult Pickleball - Specialty Skills Clinic Serving with Dominance, Mastering Dinking & Improving Volleys (15+)Take your pickleball game to the next level! Our skill clinics will focus on 3 primary areas of the game: Serving, Dinks and the Volley. Pick just one, or sign up for all 3! “Serving with a Purpose” (7/8): In this skills class, we will focus on mastering the most important shot in the game- your serve! You’ll learn how to strategically place the ball to gain an advantage, improve serve depth and power, and add effective spin to keep your opponents guessing.” “Mastering Dinks” (7/15): Refine your soft game and gain the upper hand! In this skills class, we will focus on precise ball placement, smart dink strategy and effective dink spin variations. Learn how to control the pace of play, set up winning shots, and outmaneuver your opponents with strategic, well-placed dinks. “Improve the Volley” (7/22): Take your net game to the next level! We’ll work on developing fast hand volley skills, mastering proper paddle position for control and power and executing advanced shots like the roll volley and flick volley- a dynamic shot that adds surprise and pressure to your game. HV Rec and Ed Pickleball TournamentPickleballJoin us this Fall for our 2nd Annual HV Rec and Ed Scholarship Fund Pickleball Tournament! This event will raise money for our scholarship fund which helps families, who need assistance, afford our programs (youth enrichment, youth recreation and special event programs). Come out and help us raise money to help local families and have fun playing pickleball at the same time! Please register as a pair. We will offer different divisions for different skill levels. Please register only 1 person in your pair. The fee is per pair. You will add your partner's name when you register. Divisions: (Adults are Ages 22+). Intro to Sports OfficiatingAdult RecreationThe Michigan High School Athletic Association has partnered with an online education system called RefReps. HV Rec and Community Ed is offering this officiating training for anyone ages 14 and older to get trained and certified to become an MHSAA official. There will be online training tools as well as in person lessons where students will get hands on training. HV Rec and Ed will also be offering jobs to officiate in the various leagues offered throughout the year. Wages are competitive and work schedules are flexible to work around busy school/sports/life schedules. This program will offer training in basketball, volleyball and soccer as the primary sports, but there will be options for students to get trained in any of the 13 offerings. The online training is interactive and provides "real life" examples from the official's perspective in live games. Course Fee: $75/sport (basketball, soccer and volleyball)- this includes online training, in person training, MHSAA license once the student successfully passes the course and lifetime access to the resources. All other sports will be $50/sport because it will ONLY be the online training, no hands on included.Year Long 24-25

We will cover the basics including standing, getting back on the board and paddle techniques, so whether you're practicing your first strokes or refining your balance, this peaceful oasis ensures a stress-free and enjoyable experience on the water. Teeple lake is a non-motor powered lake, with a beach and a small vessel ramp to launch.
