SWIMAMERICA School-Age and Fundamentals Levels 1-3 (Beginner)

SwimAmerica Beginner (Levels 1-3):
This course has no prerequisites. 
The Beginner Group is the introductory course and will teach the skills necessary to be comfortable in the water.  If you have a child younger than 4 years old and you feel they are ready for this class in the lap pool without an adult in the water with them, please just call us at 248-676-8390 and we can get them registered.

Beginner Skills To Be Learned 1. Gradual water adaptation 2. Movement in the water 3. Breath holding and release 4. Submersion of the face 5. Opening eyes underwater 6. Blowing bubbles 7. Wall Bobs with bubbles and air exchange 8. Front float and recover 9. Front glide and recover 10. Back float and recover 11. Back glide and recover 12. Jumping Bobs 13. Streamline Bobs

Advancement Goals 1. 10 relaxed Wall Bobs Station 2. Front glide and recover-5 seconds 3. Back glide and recover-5 seconds 4. Proposing 5. Front kick, glide, and recover 6. Back kick, glide, and recover 7. Dolphin kick, glide, and recover 8. Seesaw Body movement 9. Sitting on the kickboard sculling 10. Front kick-15 feet 11. Back kick-15 feet
