Second Session: Students will utilize creative problem-solving skills and engage in meaningful clay skill-building.

Get CREATIVE in creative writing class! It's a blast. Kids get to express themselves through writing in a variety of genres.

Students will learn the basic crafting and artistic techniques using Cricut maker. Projects include but are not limited to making stencils, stickers and a vinyl resist project. Students may bring a water bottle, cup or mug for stickers. The session will create a collaborative sign project that will hang in the hall at Country Oaks Elementary.

GraviTrax The Game - Course Solve The Challenge! Setup the track according to the tasks cards. Using all the pieces provided, complete the track layout to solve the tricky and exciting challenge! Test your track and if the marble rolls from start to finish, move onto the next challenge card. Once all the challenges have been completed, integrate tiles and accessories to expand your GraviTrax Starter-Set. Solve the tricky and fun challenge by working out how to get the ball from start to finish! World of Wonder (Grades K-2): This will be an intro course covering a variety of topics using games, projects, and coloring: A basic science course introducing students to a variety of topics through games, projects, and art. We will spend 2 weeks on the senses, one of touch, taste, and smell and one on sight (&light) and hearing (&sound). 1 week we’ll explore Weather and the water cycle, 1 week plants and trees, 1 week water science (sink, float, solutions) and 1 week of forces and motion Kitchen Science (Grades 3-5): exploring science through food – Using everyday kitchen staples, students will measure, make mixtures, solutions & super-saturated solutions, observe the effects of hot and cold, and explore the chemical reactions of leavening agents. We will investigate dairy by making magic milk, butter, cottage cheese and ice cream, and use emulsifiers to examine the interaction of oil and water. Students will use starches to make a fun “gak” and to thicken rice pudding. ***Students must register ONE WEEK before class starts so I can e-mail parents a food allergy questionnaire to complete before Day 1***

Mrs. Page will be offering Owl Sports after school for boys and girls. Each empower hour will have modified rules and equipment depending on age level and amount of students. The program will host a variety of sports and games. The program will be held inside of the Oxbow gymnasium and will run directly after school until 515pm. Math based games developed by the Math Pentathlon program to supplement your child's math curriculum. Division 1 is geared toward Kindergarten-1st grade math. There are 5 different games for each division. Division 2 is geared toward 2nd-3rd grade math. There are 5 different games for each division. Division 3 is geared toward 4th-5th grade math. There are 5 different games for each division.

This program combines two crucial courses into one, Sanchin-Ryu Karate & Self-Defense and Project: Secure Child (child safety). Students will be trained with proven, age-appropriate techniques that are necessary for kids to protect themselves from attackers. This program is set in a fun yet structured, environment which will give your child a positive outlook on learning a martial art. Participants will achieve great self confidence and leadership through the physical techniques, mental strategies, drills and exercises they are lead through. Uniforms are available, but not required.

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Our progression curriculum focuses on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding, and defense through skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.
