June 22-25 :{YEL!} Bricktopia Master Builders Camp (1st-5th grade)Students build our most challenging LEGO engineering projects (race cars, a motorized bug, a robot dog) and then use those projects to explore basic elements of engineering. July 6-9 AM :{YEL!} Video Game Creation - Dragons and Unicorns (1st - 3rd grade)"Dragons and Unicorns: Fun and Fury" inspires students to cultivate their creativity through character development and video game design. Students will design mythical dragons and unicorns that embark on a legendary quest to overcome obstacles and challenges, until they face an epic challenge to save the world! Make and take home a lava lamp, hover disc, explosive volcano, and...of course...SLIME! Use all of these experiments to explore and discover the scientific method. Don your white coat and goggles…it’s time to begin your own journey to becoming a mad scientist (cue maniacal laugh)! Materials included in costNOTE: All experiments are physical experiments, not chemical. Students will be provided safety goggles to wear during class.August 17-20 AM :{YEL!} Project Runway (4th-8th grade)Sweet summer projects! A comfy shorts, a water bottle bag, criss-cross headbandand more. No experience necessary. Students will make, showcase, and take home all their projects. Hand and machine sewing techniques are taught with SAFETY FIRST always in mind. The final day is a showcase where friends and family are invited to see the projects in action. Materials included in cost August 17-20 PM :YEL DESTINATION MARS: ROCKETRY COURSE (2nd-5th grade)Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have the right stuff? Youth Pickleball Beginner LessonsPickleballA four-day series for youth to learn the basics of the game of Pickleball. We will focus on fun, age appropriate, drills for the kids to allow them to learn the basics: forehands, backhands, serve, return, dinks, volleys. Kids will get a chance to play games and work on keeping score. Please have youth dress in comfortable/athletic clothing and appropriate footwear for the lesson. Please bring your own paddle. “K-Pop Demon Hunters” Musical Theatre Workshop CampMusic & TheaterJoin us for “K-Pop Demon Hunters the Musical”, a unique script based on the popular movie!Students will discover the joys of acting, improv, voice, speech, theater, dance and more! Students will begin each day with Singing, Acting and Dance Classes and Rehearse the play in the afternoon. We’ll have special theme days and special camp activities throughout the week. Camp will end with a culminating presentation where students can showcase the tools and skills they learned with Sunset Theatre Company!
