Intro to Coding and AnimationLakewood Elem Empower HourThis one-hour weekly program takes place right at the school, giving students hands-on experience with iCode’s award-winning computer science curriculum. Through fun, interactive lessons, they’ll build a strong foundation in patterns, sequencing, and logical thinking. Lakewood: Hands-On Science Hour!Lakewood Elem Empower HourScience for A-spy-ring Spies (Grades 3-5): :Students will learn to complete simple missions each week to earn a prize: creating codes and ciphers for secret messages, invisible inks, chemical evidence analysis, maps and mazes, learning to work with fragments of data, and surveillance memory puzzles. Planned activities may be adjusted for student interest/skill levels. Science Lessons for Aspiring Wizards (Grades 3-5): Magic Wands, Bubbling Cauldrons, Witch’s Slime, Troll Magnetic Slime, Golden Snitches, Magical Animal Familiars, Color Changing Potions and so much more (activities may be adjusted based on the interest and skill levels of the participants)A Hands-on science program for aspiring witches and wizards.
