Come join our brand new ensemble: the Orff Sharks! Do you like to play xylophones, metallophones, bongos, tubanos, and rhythm instruments? Then this group is for you! We will explore the Orff instruments, improvise, come up with sound stories, and learn some songs. A big part of this group is to learn to play as an ensemble, where different instruments play different parts. We will present what we learned in a short performance (on November 2nd) for families and friends, wearing our brand new "Orff Sharks" T-Shirts!

Calling all 3rd-5th graders who love to sing, dance, and act! Enjoy singing together with your friends, develop your singing voice with warm-ups, have fun learning songs with 2-part harmonies, get up and move with some choreography, learn your speaking parts - all while preparing the musical: Snow Way Out! Join Jackie and Jack Frost, Old Man Winter, the Frostbites, and several families as they are getting ready to reopen a fabulous resort, but are desperately waiting for snow to arrive! Junior stars will continue practicing the basics of stroke production (forehands, backhands, volleys and serves) and movement using exciting games and activities in a fun atmosphere. We will be playing on a 60' court and using USTA Quick Start Balls and court for this class. Little or no experience necessary. Bring your own tennis racket

This class is offered as an introduction to the game for this age group, which will utilize age-appropriate, full-size court and ball setup to begin to develop the fundamentals of a competitive skill set. Tiny Tots will concentrate on hand-eye coordination, basic tennis movements and stroke basics. The lessons will be offered on a 36' court using red quick-start balls. Little or no experience necessary. Bring your own tennis racket

Registration closes at 9 a.m. on 10/21/26. To purchase tickets after 9 a.m., please just arrive early for the time slot you wanted and you can register on site with a QR code. The day of price is $7. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Celebrate Halloween a little early with Huron Valley Recreation and Community Education. Not only will kids get the experience of trick or treating, but they will also get to see the area's biggest trucks. Possible trucks will include a dump truck, fire engine, bulldozer, and much more! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Event will proceed rain or shine! We have two time slots where we won't have horns/sirens going, in case you have a child that is scared or startled with the loud noises. You will register by your arrival time. You are welcome to stay longer than your 30 minute time slot, but we will be wrapping up by 7:15/7:30 p.m. so please plan accordingly. This event will be held at Oak Valley MS (new location) in the parking lot. Also, all activities will be outside. Activities include trick or treating with the trucks, a special holiday treat for all of our paid participants and we will also now offer food trucks as an option for attendees. The food truck purchases are NOT part of your registration fee. Children ages 2 - 13 = $5/child. The $5 fee covers the cost of the candy for all of our trucks and the treat for all of our participants. Older kids are welcome and kids in the Special Ed program are always welcome. Just contact us directly to register anyone over 13 years old. Children ages 0-23 months = Free, but they will not receive candy/donut/craft, but they are welcome to enjoy the trucks. Come join Miss Day for yoga! Yoga Club Empower Hour is a one-hour class for Grades 2 or 3. Throughout the six weeks, the kids will explore breathing exercises, movement with traditional yoga poses, yoga pose games, relaxation techniques and will have fun meeting new yoga friends in a safe and welcoming environment. We will be doing a variety of yoga flows, games and exercises. Students do not need any prior yoga experience to join. Each student is encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel, water bottle, and comfortable clothes for movement. There are some mats available to borrow, if needed. While practicing yoga, students will have the option to follow the basic yoga practice of flowing barefoot. We hope to see you there!
